For projects with a total contract value under $7,500 (including applicable taxes),
the following payment structure applies:
Initial Deposit – 50%
A deposit equal to 50% of the total contract price is due upon acceptance of the agreement.
Work scheduling and material procurement will not begin until the deposit has been received.
Final Payment – 50%
The remaining 50% balance is due immediately upon substantial completion of the project.
For projects with a total contract value over $7,500 (including applicable taxes),
payments will be made according to the following milestone schedule. Percentages are calculated based on the
final contract price including applicable taxes.
Initial Deposit – 5% (Non-Refundable)
A 5% non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance of this agreement.
This deposit:
Work scheduling will not be confirmed until this deposit has been received.
Special Order Material Deposit – 30%
A payment equal to 30% of the final contract price is required once the applicable building permit has been approved.
Where a building permit is not required, the Initial Deposit and Special Order Material Deposit may be combined
and collected prior to ordering materials and scheduling construction.
Special order materials are non-refundable once ordered.
Footing Installation Payment – 20%
A payment equal to 20% of the final contract price is due upon completion of footing installation.
Framing Installation Payment – 30%
A payment equal to 30% of the final contract price is due upon completion of structural framing installation.
Final Payment – 15%
The remaining 15% balance is due upon substantial completion of the deck installation.
Nothing in these payment terms limits or replaces rights provided under the
Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other applicable Ontario legislation.

Sale of Goods Act (Ontario).
We warrant that structural framing and foundation components installed by MyDeck.ca will be free from structural
failure caused solely by defective workmanship for ten (10) years from substantial completion. If a qualifying defect
occurs, we will repair or replace the affected structural portion. This warranty applies to workmanship only.
Material defects remain covered by manufacturer warranties.
Patio stone foundations and deck block systems are designed to move with seasonal soil conditions.
Decking, railings, fascia, trim, and similar finish elements installed by MyDeck.ca are warranted against defects in
workmanship for one (1) year. If an installation defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the affected portion.
Manufacturer product warranties remain the responsibility of the homeowner to register and maintain.
For roof-top installations, the homeowner is responsible for confirming structural capacity and waterproofing
integrity of the existing structure. We are responsible only for workmanship within the contracted scope.
Unless specifically included in your signed agreement, the homeowner is responsible for obtaining required permits
and approvals. We may assist with drawings or coordination but cannot guarantee municipal approval.
Project timelines are estimated in good faith. Delays may occur due to weather, inspections, material availability,
or unforeseen site conditions.
Additional work is billed at agreed or time-and-material rates.
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the applicable period. Reasonable access must be provided for
inspection and correction.
You may cancel this agreement at any time during the period that ends ten (10) days after the day you receive a
written copy of the agreement. You do not need to give the supplier a reason for cancelling during this 10-day period.
If the supplier does not make delivery within 30 days after the delivery date specified in this agreement or does not
begin performance within 30 days after the commencement date specified in this agreement, you may cancel this
agreement at any time before delivery or commencement of performance.
If you cancel this agreement, the supplier has fifteen (15) days to refund any payment you have made and return to you
all goods delivered under a trade-in arrangement.
